Being Jewish means celebrating this special identity and doing so with immense JOY.
One of Chabad's main goals in Erie is to inspire each Jew to become (more) excited and happy with their Jewishness. When one's day-to-day activities and routines are imbued with a sense of purpose and excitement, it fosters an atmosphere of incomparable postitivity, hope and beauty.
This year's fundraiser is unique as it begins on the final day of Chanukah and ends on the fifth of the Jewish month of Tevet, a huge holiday on the Chassidic calendar. Both holidays celebrate and provide an example of the power of light over darkness, of truth over falsehood.
Please consider making a contribution today, and get your friends involved as well!
With gratitude and with hopes for immediate redemption,
Rabbi Dovie and Mushkie Kivman
Update: It has been decided to extend this fundraiser until the auspicious day of 24 Tevet (Jan. 24)
